This area provides you with additional options for your Embeds. You can change the quality of content (Low or High), enable or disable shuffle animation for carousels, show tabs within your Embeds based on your content tags, show the Pins directly on the thumbnails (users can click them without opening the Overlay), open Pin links in the same or a new tab in your browser.
There is not right or wrong. The recommendation is to test different Embeds on different website pages and look at the performance in a few weeks.
Here are explanations for the advanced settings:
Shuffle Animation: You can add a dynamic flair to your Embeds by activating this option. This makes content shuffle from one place to another, to make the Embed more attractive. It’s useful when you don’t have a lot of content at the time.
Show Tabs: In the Content – Manage section you can curate your content into Boards. There, you can add tags for pieces of content. For example: add a “Men” Tag to content containing products for men. And the “Women” Tag for women products. In the Content – Distribution section you create the Embeds/Shoppable Galleries. You can use these Tags as Tabs for your content. An example can be seen below:
Use the Tags section below the Description to add more context for each image. Use one single Tag to be used as a Tab. You can also use multiple Tags, if you want to filter the content from the boards, in a certain way. After adding a Tag, make it Visible and click on Save Changes, if you want it to show up in your Embeds/Shoppable Galleries.
You select the option “From tags” from the Advanced settings – Show tabs dropdown. The name of the Tags will appear as Tabs at the top of the Embed. Users can click on each Tab to see the associated content. It’s like having 2 Embeds in one!
Show Pins/tooltips on thumbnails: Select “Visible” if you want the Pins to be visible on top of the content in your embeds. If the “Hidden” option is active, the Pins will only be seen once a user clicks on a piece of content to see the larger version of it (alongside the caption/description).
Open links in new tab: Select “Yes” if you want the links in your pins to open in a new tab in the user’s browser.
