Looking to elevate your influencer marketing efforts? TikTok is the next frontier for reaching wider audiences and ensuring a presence on all major platforms. Here’s how to efficiently create and manage your TikTok campaigns directly from the platform.
Set Up Your Campaign #
Before launching your campaign, choose the type: a standard campaign or one with content approval (ideal if you want to review content before it’s published). Next, define your campaign objective, whether it’s for brand awareness, UGC (user-generated content) growth, or community expansion.
Select a campaign name for easy identification in your database, along with a brief description. Remember, this is different from the official brief provided to influencers. Additionally, upload a campaign cover and set the campaign period – these elements are mandatory.
Create a Detailed Brief #
Now it’s time to craft the brief that influencers will follow. Specify the timeframe during which influencers should create content, and if you opted for content approval, allocate a separate period for reviewing and approving submissions.
Make sure to outline the do’s and don’ts of the campaign, such as restrictions on showing competitor brands or pricing in the content. Add relevant campaign hashtags, including at least one unique to the campaign, to help you track its performance.
Finally, clarify how influencers will be compensated, whether through payments, vouchers, product samples, or custom rewards. For more guidance on writing a compelling brief, check out this resource on creating briefs.
Create Influencer Groups #
With the campaign structure (type, title, description, cover, and dates) and brief in place, it’s time to recruit influencers and organize them into groups. Start by choosing the influencer size category (e.g., nano, micro, macro) and the niche(s) you’re targeting. If you already have a specific audience in mind, customize your group selection manually.
You can find more details on forming influencer groups here. You can select from platform suggestions or manually invite influencers to join.
Not only that, but you have two options for creator tiers. Add Tier 2 creators to your campaign to expand your reach, but note that analytics for their content will not be available.
A new feature enables you to filter influencers by size, niche, gender, preferences, or specific tags. Based on the results, you can either select multiple influencers or make a manual selection. Additionally, you can create a My Creators list for recurring campaigns.

Assign the Brief to the Group #
You can do this either in the previous step or manually at this stage. Select the influencers you want to collaborate with by applying the filters you set earlier or conducting a manual search.
Schedule the Campaign #
The final step is to schedule the campaign according to the selected timeframe. You can also review the previous steps using the back arrow in the top left corner (next to the title) to ensure all fields are properly filled in.
