To close the loop on Embeds (Shoppable Galleries) performance, we’ve created the Google Analytics integration. This allows you to see not just what happens on your Embeds (clicks, views), but also how those pieces of content help the website perform better in terms of conversions.
When you connect your website’s Google Analytics account, you gain access to assisted conversions – how the embeds help with conversions. This helps you understand the power of the embeds, by showing you information such as:
- Conversions – How many assisted conversion the embeds on your website generated.
- Conversion rate – How many assisted conversions were generated by the embeds, divided by the number of embed views.
- Conversion value – How much were the assisted conversions worth.
The way the integration works is by setting custom UTM parameters for destination URLs on the Pins. That means that when you set a URL as https://www.your-awesome-website.com, your new URL (only if you have Google Analytics connected) becomes https://www.your-awesome-website.com/?utm_source=productlead&utm_medium=embed&utm_term=[SPECIAL-ID-HERE]
By using these parameters, we are able to to see the impact of clicks in embeds on conversions. We extract this data from Google Analytics (the Conversions – Multi-Channel Funnels – Assisted Conversion section) and show it in Flaminjoy (the Analytics – Conversions section).
Before connecting Google Analytics to Flaminjoy, be aware of these elements:
- The integration only works with Google Analytics, not with other analytics solutions.
- Your website must have Ecommerce Tracking activated correctly within Google Analytics – Universal Analytics. Read more about setting that up here: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1009612
- Your website’s domain in the Admin – View – View Settings section must match your website.
- The Default View you’ve set in Google Analytics – Admin – Property Settings is the one you’ll be able to connect to Flaminjoy. If you have Editor access, you can change this, if needed.
- Your currency in the Admin – View – View Settings must match your website’s.
- You have at least Read access to the Google Analytics account.
To connect your Google Analytics account to Flaminjoy, follow these steps:
- Go to the Analytics – Conversions section.
- Click the “Connect with Google” button and select your Google account.
- Accept the permissions needed.

Congratulations! If you’ve followed all the steps successfully, you’ll see a “Setup complete” notification at the top of the screen. You are now ready to track assisted conversions inside of Flaminjoy!
NOTE:
The assisted conversions only start showing up in Flaminjoy AFTER they’ve been found in Google Analytics. The tracking begins the moment you connect your Google Analytics account for the first time. So the sooner you connect it, the better.
The 2 permissions needed are:
- View Google Analytics user permissions – This allows Flaminjoy to check your permissions to see if you can connect the Google Analytics account to the platform.
- See and download your Google Analytics data – This allows Flaminjoy to access your Google Analytics data and download it, in order to match it with the UTM parameters set to track assisted conversions.

There are 2 main sections:
- Conversions – A general section that provides information about the performance of content from Embeds (Shoppable Galleries).
- Content – A section dedicated to all the pieces of content that generated assisted conversions, alongside their stats (likes, comments, conversions).
The Conversions section shows multiple areas:
- Top 5 converting medias – The best pieces of content, in terms of assisted conversions.
- Embed views – A graphical representation of the total amount of views your embeds received, organized by day.
- Total Views – The total amount of views your embeds received.
- Average views – The average amount of views your embeds received, on a daily basis.
- Clicks on pins – A graphical representation of the total amount of clicks on the pins in your embeds, organized by day.
- Total Clicks – The total amount of clicks received, for the pins in your embeds.
- Average clicks – The average amount of clicks received, for the pins in your embeds, on a daily basis.
- Conversions – A graphical representation of the total amount of conversions assisted by your embeds, organized day by day.
- Conversions – The total amount of conversions assisted by your embeds.
- Average conversions – The average amount of conversions assisted by your embeds, on a daily basis.
- Conversion rate – A graphical representation of the average assisted conversion rate, organized by day.

- Conversion value – A graphical representation of the total conversion value assisted by your embeds, organized day by day.
- Total value – The total conversion value assisted by your embeds, according to the selected embed and time period.
- Average value – The average daily conversion value assisted by Flaminjoy, according to the selected embed and time period.
In the first area, at the top, you can see the top 5 converting pieces of content. Clicking on the “View all medias” button takes you to the Content section, to see all the images that generated conversions. Underneath each of the top 5 images there is an icon alongside a number. Those indicate the number of assisted conversions generated in the selected time period. Change the time period by using the Filters button in the top right.
Underneath the images you have information related to the amount of Views and Clicks your Embed got. You can choose to see data for all your Embeds or only a select ones, by using the Filters button.
The second area looks at conversions from multiple point of views:
- Number of conversions
- Conversion rate
- Conversion value
You can look at the total number of conversions vs the averages, to spot any patterns: are more assisted conversions being generated on the weekends? Are certain months better than others?
NOTE:
The amount of assisted conversions is correlated to the amount of clicks your Embeds are receiving. The more views you have, the more clicks you’ll get. And a higher chance of conversion. So create multiple Embeds, add them to multiple pages to truly see an impact in the Conversions section.
